Selected artists will receive $600 in compensation for the completed piano transformation, a $100 art material stipend, and lots of public recognition for their work.
Selected artists understand that the pianos will be delivered to one of three group artist “transformation Stations” and artists will be required to commute to this nearby location (within a few miles) to complete their piano transformations.
Artists will have a minimum of 3 weeks to complete their work. All pianos must be finished on or before July 25, to allow for moving and setup at the designated park location..
Artist applications are now being accepted – but only from artists who live, work, of lease a studio in one of the neighborhood locations listed to the right.
Please do not waste our time or yours.
Selected artists will be required to share proof of their connection to the community they are chosen.
PLEASE READ THE TERMS OUTLINED HERE CAREFULLY!
Please note: Pianos In The Parks has undergone a few changes. The one change that may impact you is our new artist requirement that limits artist participation to those who live, work or holds a lease on a studio in the specific neighborhood. If you do not have actual ties at one of the participating neighborhoods (list on the left), please don’t apply!
If you do, then be sure to complete the form below by Friday June 20. The organization hosting the piano in your neighborhood will receive this content and look over your portfolio. Their recommendations to us are due on June 23. We will follow up with the selected artist announcements later that week.
