We would like to personally invite you to join our organization for our annual "Why This, Why That, Why Brunch?" at the Space Needle on September 2, 2017 at 11:00 am, before the gates to Bumbershoot open, to enjoy great food, drinks, and a hilarious morning hosted by Emmett Montgomery.
Your table or single ticket purchase will include Bumbershoot tickets for Saturday, September 2nd for each brunch ticket purchased. This event will directly benefit One Reel’s Career Day programming.
One Reel annually collaborates with the City of Seattle Office of Arts & Culture, Office of Film + Music, MoPop, KEXP, and The Vera Project to host City of Music Career Day, a program designed for local youth interested in pursuing careers in the music industry. The day-long event is free to all students and include panels, workshops, and mentoring sessions with professional artists, producers, non-profit administers, composers, and technicians. The purpose of the program is to give students entry points, internship opportunities, and a greater sense of career paths available within the fields they are most passionate about.
"Why Brunch?" directly benefits One Reel’s Career Day programming enabling our organization to reach hundreds of local youth annually. This year, One Reel will begin expanding our Career Day model to include student events focused on theatre and literature. Your participation on September 2nd will help us build a strong foundation for these new programs and give us the resources needed to impact the next generation of Seattle arts leaders.
