POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists the Stage Manager in all rehearsals and performances
Oversees performers backstage
Restaurant and Production Liaison
Collaborates with Director, SM, Cast, Band and all Production Departments in logistics pertaining to all performance needs
Collaborates with Prop Supervisor to obtain and organize all hand props
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsibilities:

With Props Supervisor create and maintain general prop inventory
Storing and procuring hand props in Props storage facilities
With S&E Supervisor manage the backstage area
With S&E Supervisor clean, organize and maintain backstage and prop areas for performance and storage.
With S&E Supervisor handles emergency repairs to props as needed
Assists Stage Manager during rehearsals; manages rehearsals in SM absence
Attends all rehearsals;
With SM creates and maintains scripts/ production calling book
Document prop needs and placements
Document backstage and restaurant crew moves
Regularly attends Wait Staff Line Ups to discuss show duties
With the Dresser facilitate the laundry and repair notes of Wait Show Staff Accessories
Create, maintain and distribute daily Restaurant Crew Move paperwork
Attend weekly production meeting
Update own pre-show and post show checklists
Keeps backstage prop area clean and organized at all times
Shops for props as needed
Weekly financial reconcialiation
Supervises runner and runner petty cash

Able to provide timely completion of duties: meet deadlines. Knows when to issue request for assistance when appropriate.
Ability to work and communicate well with all types of staff utilizing voice mail, email, computers, fax machines, copiers, and proper use of memos and other office communications.
Ability to work well under pressure and be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
Must be able to maintain confidences.
Considerable ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals and groups of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Essential minimum skills, education, and experience:

2 years professional stage crew experience
Excellent organizational skills
Patient
Calm presence
Works well collaborating with people
Ability to lead others
Excellent eye for detail
Knowledge of technical production
Ability to articulate and communicate problems
Basic computer knowledge in Word and Excel
Able and willing to work additional hours
Able to lift 25 lbs.
